ANOKA LIONS IS AN ACTIVE, VIBRANT SERVICE CLUB MAKING A REAL DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY.

Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.

About Our Club

Worldwide, Lions clubs are recognized for their service to people who are blind and visually impaired. This service began when Helen Keller challenged Lions to become “knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness” during the 1925 Lions Clubs International Convention.

The Anoka Lions Club was chartered December 3, 1951, sponsored by the Osseo Lions Club.  With over 100 members, this diverse club is a vital link to the Community of Anoka.  Partnering with the City of Anoka on several events each year, the Anoka Lions make an impact on our community every day.

The Anoka Lions make a strong commitment to young people through our many youth project. We also work to improve the environment, build homes for the disabled, support diabetes education, conduct hearing and sight programs and, through their foundation, provide disaster relief around the world.

Our motto is “We Serve”.
