The Anoka Lions Club is a local service organization dedicated to making a difference in Anoka and the surrounding community. Chartered on Dec. 3, 1951, the club has grown into an active group of community members who give their time, energy and resources to support people and organizations throughout the area.
Our motto is simple: We Serve.
Through community events, fundraising projects and volunteer service, Anoka Lions members work together to strengthen the community we call home.
The Anoka Lions Club participates in events and fundraising projects throughout the year, working alongside the City of Anoka and other community organizations. The money we raise helps fund scholarships, youth programs, food assistance, health and accessibility programs, community organizations and other important causes.
95% of the funds raised in Anoka stay in the Greater Anoka Community.
That means attending an Anoka Lions event, supporting one of our fundraisers or volunteering alongside our members can have a direct impact right here at home.
As part of the larger Lions International organization, we also contribute to select national and international programs. These efforts have included organizations and initiatives supporting vision, hearing, diabetes programs, services for people with disabilities and other humanitarian needs.
Anoka Lions raises funds through community events and projects throughout Anoka and neighboring communities. Our members volunteer their time at these events, helping us raise money for the local programs, organizations and causes we support.
